How does LabTrace work?
LabTrace uses the green blockchain technology Algorand to provide a secure and easy-to-use platform for data authentication. You can upload your data using a simple drag-and-drop system, and in a matter of seconds the LabTrace’s authenticator will automatically certify your data, generating a certificate that contains all the unique immutable information relative to your data (owner, timestamp, blockchain registration).
LabTrace has a special toolkit (SDK) that makes simpler its integration into your apps or digital platforms, allowing an automatic interaction with the main functionalities (data upload, certificate retrieval) of LabTrace.
What is the Blockchain technology?
The Blockchain technology is a public, distributed and decentralize digital ledger, characterized by:
- Transparency: The entire transaction history is stored on the blockchain and is visible to all participants. This transparency increases accountability and reduces the risk of fraud or manipulation.
- Security: Blockchain uses advanced cryptographic techniques to secure the data. Once a transaction is recorded, it is nearly impossible to alter or tamper it, making blockchain highly secure.
- Immutability: Once data is added to the blockchain, it becomes permanent and cannot be modified. This feature ensures that the integrity of the data is maintained and prevents unauthorised changes.
- Decentralisation: Unlike traditional systems that rely on a central authority, blockchain operates on a distributed network where all participants have equal control and access to the data.
- Trustworthiness: Blockchain eliminates the need for trust in a central authority since all participants in the network can independently verify and validate transactions.
